Italo-American helping out his Italian countrymen

This is the story of Francesco, an Italian-American born in Lucca (Italy) helping out his Italian countrymen on vacation in the USA.
We were travelling with our motorhome full of Italian food in California trying to get a spot on a state park campground in Capitola. Unfortunately the last spots were already taken.
When Francesco heard us speaking in Italian, he immediately offered to share his spot with us.
We shared the camping spot with the BBQ with his wife and their little trailor.
When the rangers later told them this was illegal and wanted to make us pay a fine, Francesco defended our “poor” family. The rangers had never seen anything like this and gave us a second spot.
It all ends (of course) with some good Italian food and wine together. Italian pasta with pesto, Francesco’s steaks and American flags as decoration.
GRAZIE, Francesco !
