High Heels and the cultural heritage . The expensive shoe maker Salvatore Ferragamo has opened eight rooms of the Uffizi museum in FLorence to the public, thanks to his donation of 600 000 Euro for the restauration. And Salvatore Ferragamo is not alone.

More and more fashion companies are giving a hand to preserve the beauty of Italy.

Tod`s has sponsored the colosseum in Rome. Fendi gave money for the Trevi fountain. And the cashemere king Brunello Cucinelli spent one million euro to let the Etruschan arch shine again in Umbria`s capital Perugia.

The Italian state doesn`t have the money to preserve all those treasuries of Italy. So private donors have to step in.

And they really should. Because Italy`s beauty is part of their glamour.
