The famous Italian restaurant and wine guide “Gambero Rosso” – red shrimp – is going public.

The publisher “Gambero Rosso” is a sort of Michelin guide for Italian wines, food and restaurants: Their yearly catalogue of Italian Wines “Vini d`Italia” is a must for all Italian wine lovers. The restaurant guide “Ristoranti d`Italia” is the book that all cooks want to be mentioned in.

Now “Gambero Rosso” is going to be quoted on the Italian stock exchange in Milan. Food loving investors can subscribe from today on. The IPO will be on september 29th.

So far Gambero Rosso was the one who judged the restaurants, the food, the wine. Now analysts and investors will judge them. Not the taste, but the numbers. Sounds like a tillte less fun for the Gambero Rosso goes public – Italian.
